Though he thinks Chanel is one of the most beautiful women in the world – because, obviously she is – when it was all said and done, Rocky just didn’t think he could be the man she deserved or needed him to be.
While sitting down with MTV for a candid chat about their relationship and his impeccable style, Rocky revealed that ending it with his “best friend” had him depressed for a while.
Check out some highlights:
On Chanel Iman:
[Chanel’s] my best friend, man. For real. Because you have to be mature to be in this kind of predicament and have a relationship. I never really talk about things kinds of things, her and I, like that. And she never really talks about me, so I’m really gonna say much on the subject but, she’s happy, and that’s all I want. I want her to be happy.
On the misconception Chanel introduced him to the fashion world:
2011, I couldn’t make it to the MET Ball [because] I was on tour in Europe. Second time I was suppose to make it to the MET Ball and perform with Kanye West [but] I was on tour with Rihanna. Last year, I finally came to the MET Ball with Chanel. So, as far as fashion [and Chanel putting me on] that’s false. That’s my religion. I’m trying not to get too sensitive but you gotta watch your mouth [laughs].
[Chanel] is a very classy woman, but I was born jiggy. Ask her! But she’s like, really elegant and her whole style is classy. I would call her aesthetic “ballroom gowns.” Like, that’s her–she kills that. That’s what I wanted. She looks like a big ass princess and I appreciate her beauty. She’s one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever laid my eyes on.
Of course we’re [still friends]. And we just killed this movie, Dope. Number one at Sundance Film Festival.
On being depressed over the breakup:
I got really depressed [when] me and Chanel broke up in June. I got really depressed because I knew that–she deserves better than me. That’s the truth and everybody knows it. And I don’t wanna be the guy to Lauryn Hill her, if you know what I’m saying. I love her so much so that I would rather [fall back] than to be with her and hurt her. I don’t want to hurt her. Not that I’m saying she’s some piece of meat that I could just play with. Nah. I’m just saying, just to be mature about things in life — I do know where I am in life — I’m still having fun and I’m young and I need to focus on my career. I still have her. She’s still in my life. It’s a win/win situation.

Meanwhile, it looks like the entire A$AP mob is being sued for a crowd surf-gone-wrong.
The group is being sued by a woman who attended their concert at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood back in 2013. Tammy Nguyen claims she was a VIP at the show when A$AP Mob took the stage at around 11PM. There was lots of crowd surfing during the evening, but it really intensified.
She says A$AP members, including Darold Ferguson, Jr. — better known as A$AP Ferg — were diving in the crowd, along with a bunch of fans. When Ferguson jumped, Nguyen says he nailed her. And what’s worse, she says she had to fight her way through the crowd to get out, and security didn’t help.
We’ll keep you updated as more details surface.
