Finally our prayers have been answered – Clueless is being made into a musical and we, like, totally can’t wait to see it.
The original film’s writer and director, Amy Heckerling, spilled the good news during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. She said:
“I’ve written the, what they call the book and it’s a jukebox musical”
She didn’t reveal any other details about her music choices, but she did admit casting would be difficult. After all who else could possibly pull off that iconic yellow plaid skirt set?
MTV has released an exclusive 8-minute clip showing their series adaptation of the iconic Scream movie franchise. Their version follows a group of teenagers who are struggling to stay alive after a cyber-bullying incident leads to a series of murders that mimic a past killing spree. The opening scene features Bella Thorne, and if the rest of the series is anything like this scene horror fans are in for a treat.
Check out the video above and then tune in to MTV on June 30th at 10 p.m. to catch the season premiere.
Dustin Diamond has finally been sentenced for his bar stabbing case. On Christmas Eve last year, Diamond and his girlfriend were involved in an altercation at the Grand Ave Saloon in Wisconsin, where he pulled out a pocketknife and allegedly stabbed a man named Casey Smet.
The judge has ordered Diamond to spend four months in jail, his sentence beginning on Sunday at the Ozaukee County Justice Center. He will serve his time in two 60-day periods that permit work release. He will then be on probation for 15 months.
Gossip Cop reports that Diamond apologized during the hearing:
“I want it to be clear that this situation will be not repeated again,” and noted that “a night that centers around celebrating peace and love” became “the single most terrifying experience of my entire life.”
We wish him the best.
“Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. At the end of the day there’s nothing I can’t do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace. Life moves on no matter what. So no matter how you feel, you get up, get dressed, show up, and never give up. When life gets tough, there is no other option but to get tougher.
I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”
