Ariana Grande made headlines for her donut-licking scandal earlier this year, but there’s something else that impacted her fans that hasn’t exactly been addressed.

The My Everything singer and Big Sean quickly became a favorite couple in Hollywood when it was revealed that they were dating, but the two split up about 8 months later.

While fans showed their disappointment, and rumors swirled that Sean ended the relationship due to her being too immature, she is finally speaking out on the break up.

Speaking to Scream Queens creator, Ryan Murphy, for their interview in V Magazine, she explained how she was able to move past it so quickly:

“I’m good at making the best out of something. It also wasn’t that hard for me, because we were friends. So it’s chill.”

She also attempted to give advice to those dealing with heartbreak:

“I’m not going to pretend I have great breakup advice. It’s hard. Good luck. You’ll be fine. You don’t need anyone. It’s nice to have someone that makes you happy, but it’s nice to be happy on your own as well.”

“You don’t need to depend on another person for your happiness. That person can contribute to your happiness, but you’re two whole beings on your own. You can make each other glow, like you just ran through one of those rainbow stars in Mario Brothers, but you’re still completely capable, sufficient, and beautiful, and can be happy on your own. That’s my breakup advice! There you go! I got it!”

Well, it looks like this breakup didn’t get Ariana down one bit. Read her full feature V Magazine.
