Only Pharrell can be a special guest performer and have one of the most memorable performances of the night.

The tastemaker/producer took the stage at Power 106 L.A’s 2015 Cali Christmas Concert and brought out none other than Kendrick Lamar for a special performance of their collaboration “Alright.” For the first time since Kendrick released his critically acclaimed album To Pimp a Butterfly, the producer of the track lit up the entire arena when the conscious track was performed.

Pharrell made a  heartfelt speech about police brutality and other social issues across the world prior to bringing out Lamar. Maybe it was the fact that he was in LA or that he felt the only person better to talk to the crowd about those subjects than him would have to be one of their own. The annual concert also featured performances by Chris BrownWiz KhalifaTravis Scott, and more.

Check out the dope performance above.
