The rapper didn’t hold anything back and took shots at anyone who he felt was a potential rival, especially Meek Mill. On the track, Drake revealed that he found out Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj were staying in the Toronto Four Seasons on the night that “Back to Back” dropped, and after discovering that, Drake and his crew booked a room directly above that of Meek and Nicki, and blasted “Back to Back” all night long.
Drake must’ve been feeling himself while writing the track because the Canadian rapper even took a slight shot at US President, Barack Obama. “Tell Obama that my verses are like the whips that he in / They bulletproof,” he rapped.
As for Tory Lanez, many felt that Drake was taking shots at new Canadian rapper, who named his mixtape The New Toronto. Drake rapped, “All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little.” Drake is clearly living his raps and “Looking for revenge, all summer sixteen.”
Meanwhile, bad gal Rihanna gave her stamp of approval on Drizzy’s latest track. The Bajan beauty shared a drawing of a stick figure of herself and a red balloon, associated with her ANTI album, via Instagram. She captioned the drawing “lookin lookin ….. all summer 16.”
Riri and Drake’s collaborative track “Work” is currently holding the top spot on the charts.
