BET brings us Black girl magic with Black Girls Rock!
Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, Black Girls Rock! will honor Rihanna, Amandla Stenberg, Gladys Knight, and Shonda Rhimes, amongst others.
Established in 2006, the powerful organization encourages young women of color who are interested in the arts. Black Girls Rock! seeks to build self-esteem within the Black community by changing the girls’ outlook on life, broadening their horizons, and of course, recognizing their self-worth.
During the special night, Global Grind asked Tracee Ellis Ross, Shonda Rhimes, Gladys Knight, and Naturi Naughton to reveal their ‘Black girl magic power,’ plus Amandla Stenberg shares valuable advice for young women following their dreams.
