The Daily Grind Video

All day, everything O.J.

Since the brilliant The People v. O.J. Simpson miniseries debuted on FX a few months ago, the ’90s case has seen a huge resurgence in popularity. Now, ESPN is striking while the iron is hot with a seven and a half hour-long 30 for 30 documentary.

PEOPLE reports:

In 2010, the network’s 30 for 30 documentary series presented an episode titled “June 17, 1994,” which chronicled the dramatic day and night of Simpson’s infamous white Bronco chase. But that event, and the subsequent trial, is only a piece of the sprawling, vivid mosaic on display in O.J.: Made in America. Directed by 30 for 30 veteran Ezra Edelman, the seven-and-half-hour series will premiere with the opening episode on ABC on June 11 at 9 p.m. ET.

Edelman says the documentary will be about more than just the trial, saying, “It is a much bigger story, one that explores O.J.’s life and how race and his pursuit of celebrity shaped it.”

Paul Walker‘s daughter Meadow has been awarded a $10 million settlement from the estate of Roger Rodas. Rodas was the driver in the car accident that killed he and Paul.

The amount paid by the estate of Roger Rodas into a trust for Meadow Walker only covers a fraction of what her father would have earned as an international movie star had his life not tragically been cut short,” Meadow’s lawyer told PEOPLE. “Through his estate, Mr. Rodas, the driver of the car, took partial responsibility for the crash. Meadow’s lawsuit against Porsche AG – a $13 billion corporation – intends to hold the company responsibly for producing a vehicle that was defective and caused Paul Walker’s death.”

Fox’s golden child American Idol called it quits Thursday night with the show’s final episode. As expected, the talent competition went out with a bang, enjoying its highest ratings since the 2013 season. The season 15 finale drew in 12.94 million viewers. Viewership was up 76 percent compared to the all-time finale low in season 14.

Not only is everyone’s favorite mid 2000s show Gilmore Girls coming back, but Melissa McCarthy will be reprising her role as Sookie St. James. Alongside returning actresses Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham, McCarthy just announced her decision to star in the show while chatting with Ellen DeGeneres.

Literally, about an hour and a half ago, we figured out that I’m going to go and do it, and I’m so excited,” she told the talk show host.

Congrats are in order for Anne Hathaway. The 33-year-old gave birth to a baby boy with husband Adam Shulman on Thursday, March 24. She first revealed her pregnancy back in November.

Her son’s name is Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, his middle name inspired by Anne’s grandfather and Adam’s mother.
