Philadelphia-rapper-turned-actress Eve is out promoting her new film Barbershop: The Next Cut, giving outlets a moment to catch up with the star.
On the red carpet in Los Angeles, PEOPLE asked Eve about married life. “It’s good! It’s really good,” she told them.
Eve wed longtime partner Maximillion Cooper back in 2014. They tied the knot in Ibiza, Spain with close family and friends. The pair met in 2010 at the Gumball 3000, an annual British 3,000-mile international motor rally, which takes place on public roads and was founded by Cooper.
While Eve has no children, Cooper has four from a previous marriage with his former business partner.
When asked what makes their relationship work, the “Love is Blind” rapper said, “Honesty and loyalty.” Adding, “You know we take it day by day, month by month. We respect each other, we are the realest. It’s the realest relationship I’ve ever had. He’s my homie. All those sound like cliches, but really it’s working.”
But the big question is, with four kids already, does the 37-year-old want more? “We can’t wait to have kids of our own,” she said. “Whoever is in charge, make it happen. I can’t wait.”
