Tamar Braxton released a joint statement with The Real, claiming that she will be leaving the talk show in order to focus on her own projects:
“The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season. She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”
Singer and TV host Tamar Braxton has been fired from the daytime talk show The Real. Tamar, who stood out for her tell-it-like-it-is point of view and sassy personality, reportedly wasn’t meeting the standards of the show’s executive team.
Insiders told B. Scott that Tamar didn’t test well with the audience and sales people didn’t find her to be a good fit with advertisers. On top of that, she’s said to be difficult behind the scenes. The decision reportedly came as a shock to many.
No official statement has been issued from Tamar or higher ups at The Real, though it’s been noted Tamar has since unfollowed Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love and The Real on Twitter. Further adding fuel to the fire is this cryptic Instagram message Tamar posted, hinting that she had been stabbed in the back by a trusted cohort:
As confirmed through her caption, Tamar will be taking a hiatus from all social media. Who do you think Tamar is speaking on? Sound off in the comments below.
