Don’t come for Ms. Tina Knowles Lawson; she ain’t send for you.
After opening the 2016 BET Awards with a riveting performance of Lemonade cut “Freedom” alongside Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé was forced to immediately leave the show and hop on a flight to her next concert. According to her mama and staff, who slay all damn day, Bey should’ve been at the UK venue two days prior. Obviously we’re grateful she was able to fit the awards into her busy schedule.
Since Bey had to run, Mama Tina accepted the Viewers Choice Award on her daughter’s behalf, but apparently misinformed the public when she said Bey’s next stop was London.
Soon after, fans began accusing Richard Lawson’s wife of lying about Beyoncé’s whereabouts and now, she’s responding via Instagram:
In part of her response, she referenced her BET Awards acceptance speech:
“This is exactly what I was talking about . We start lies and false rumors about our entertainers we celebrate when they stumble, we hope that they fall . We put them against each other when it’s room for them all! We talk negative about them and even their children which should be off limits. When they are gone we cry and say how much we loved them and cherish them we salute them in tributes . Well how about we do that when they are here?”
She also wants to know what would be the point of intentionally lying when the tour info is online? We’ll wait.
