Meek Mill is back in the news again over an alleged beef — but this time around, it isn’t about having bars and his opponents aren’t rap stars.

TMZ reports that the Philadelphia rapper was charged with assault on Wednesday at St. Louis International Airport after an airport employee triggered a fight while trying to get a photo of the star. Justin Card and De’Angelo Webb, the airport employees involved in the altercation, told the site that Mill denied Card’s request for a photo, which led to Card complaining about rappers’ treatment of fans. The situation then escalated and Card claims Meek and his entourage approached him and “threw the first punch.” Webb, Card’s cousin, jumped in as well.

Both Card and Webb say they may have been fired from their jobs at the airport, telling TMZ, “They took our badges and everything. I think we’re out of a job all the way.” After the incident, airport police were called and Meek, along with Card and Webb, were charged with misdemeanor assault. They were given a summons to appear in court in lieu of arrest.

Despite the risk of violating his probation stemming from a 2008 drug and weapons conviction, Meek seems to be unbothered by the airport assault. He took to Instagram to let everyone know that he’s not locked up in the slammer:

If this latest incident does mean that Meek violated his probation, he could face serious jail time. We’ll keep you updated as the story develops.
