Janet Jackson went from married and in lobe to being a 51-year-old, single mom in less than a year — and now we know why.
According to her big brother, Randy Jackson, the singer was verbally abused by her estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana, particularly while she was pregnant with their son. Randy says Wissam called Janet a “b***h” every day while she was expecting and added, “It came on later in the relationship, verbal abuse and being [made to feel like] a prisoner in her own home.”
But the drama doesn’t end there. The former Jackson 5 star added that his sister has been breaking down backstage of her resumed tour (which she previously canceled to “start a family), because “the abuse is still going on” through harassment related to the custody battle over Eissa. Randy told People magazine, “There’s a lot of pain. Janet’s been through a lot with her divorce. I’ve been through a lot, we all have.”
Janet revealed the news of her separation back in April — the same time she announced she’d be resuming her State of the World tour. Wissam’s lawyers are denying abuse allegations, telling TMZ that they will not dignify the hurtful allegations with a response.
On the bright side, at least Janet Jackson’s post-baby, post-divorce body is amazingly on fleek. Success and a hot new body is always the best revenge.
