The BeyHive is buzzing as talk of Beyoncé‘s Vogue takeover hits the internet—we know Bey is unlike any other human on Earth and clearly, Anna Wintour knows it too.

According to multiple sources who spoke with Huffington Post, the Vogue editor-in-chief gave Bey “unprecedented control” over her September cover—and what was Bey’s first move? The superstar has reportedly hired a Black photographer (23-year-old Tyler Mitchell) to shoot it. Let’s be clear, in all of Vogue‘s 126 years, a Black photographer has never been tapped to shoot the cover.

From HuffPost: “The publication is contractually obligated to give Beyoncé full control over the cover, the photos of her inside the magazine and the captions, which she has written herself and are in long-form, according to two sources who are familiar with the agreement between Vogue and Beyoncé but aren’t authorized to speak to the press.”

According to the site, a source said “The reason a 23-year-old Black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment.”

Additionally, HuffPost noted that Beyoncé is “not granting Vogue a sit-down interview” and that this may be Anna Wintour’s last September issue.

Of course, the internet is going crazy over Bey’s latest accomplishment, as it’s another win for the culture, courtesy of our queen. Hit the flip for more hilarious and accurate reactions.
