In 2017, Verizon announced their brand new customer rewards program, Verizon Up, which would offer amazing music experiences with some great talents like Justin Timberlake, Luke Bryan, Maroon 5, Rae Sremmurd, Daya, Skylar Grey, Kali Uchis, JID and X Ambassadors throughout the year. What makes the Verizon Up experience even better is that it’s exclusive and open to only 30 fans! Other rewards include early and expedited entry into concerts and exclusive seating and premium experiences. Let’s just say, Verizon continues to deliver.

As a member of Verizon Up, every $300 you spend on your monthly wireless bills earns you a reward. You can get great deals from Apple Music to Amazon and more. You already have to pay your cell phone bill, why not get a little something extra for it.

On Tuesday, November 13, JID hosted a private gaming experience for the Verizon Up rewards program in Atlanta. At the event, JID, who is signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville record label, discussed his 2017 debut, The Never Story, as well as the project’s follow up, DiCaprio 2.

While at the event, Bossip got to chat with JID about the tracks “151 Rum” and “Off Deez” off of DiCaprio 2 and asked whether or not JID had found a defining sound for himself.

“Those two songs are just attention-grabbers,” said JID. “I kinda did the same thing with The Never Story. I dropped the song “Never” and I dropped the song “Underwear” which came out about a week before and I dropped a song called “Bruh” with the same energy, but there’s super variations on [this] project, there’s nothing that sounds like those two songs. They’re back to back on the project, they have a section off where they belong. The project is sectioned off. There’s not one complete sound. It’s called DiCaprio 2 because it’s like a movie so each song is an individual film.”

Fun fact, JID’s mother is also a long time Verizon employee, which makes this match up with Verizon Up all the more special. Keep an eye out for JID’s new album, DiCaprio 2 dropping on November 26th and make sure you sign up for Verizon Up for your chance to earn great rewards.
