It gives a subtle nod to the host state (and city) with the a star embedded in it. It could also be seen as a double entendre for the obvious. Off-setting the Daring Red is a black Swoosh found on the side and black-midfoot strap with a double-stitch detail. And all this sits in an icey sole.
