Everyone knows that Drake is the king of Toronto.
However, yesterday the king of Toronto had to play the sideline and watch from afar.
Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake kicked off their epic 12-city Legends of the Summer Tour last night, and by all accounts, the show was a complete success.
As you all already know, this isn’t Jay’s first collaborative tour. A couple of years ago, Jay-Z and Eminem got together for the Home & Home Tour. During those shows, each artist had their own individual set. During the Watch the Throne Tour with Kanye, the two performed together during most of the show.
Last night’s was more Watch the Throne than Home & Home, as the two spent most of the night rocking the stage together (even though they both had solo rock out moments.)
Now, as for Drake: he was out of the limelight last night, watching the show as a fan. But he didn’t seem to mind much: the rapper posted a cool video of Jay performing “Big Pimpin'” on his Instagram.
Dope.
The show goes on for the two on Friday when they perform at the legendary Yankee Stadium in New York City.
