Kelly Rowland is airing out all her dirty laundry today.

After letting the world know she liked her kisses down low on the first track from her newest album Talk A Good Game, the former Destiny’s Child member dropped a new song that may be the realest thing we have heard in a while, appropriately titled “Dirty Laundry.”

Produced by The-Dream, Kelly uses the track as an open letter to (finally) divulge the hardships that she encountered following Destiny’s Child’s split, both personal and professional.

Kelly touches on everything from her envy of Beyonce’s fame, to the abusive relationship with what Kelly’s song timeline seems to be revealing to be ex-fiancé, NFL player Roy Williams, (although we aren’t 100% sure of this.)

Here is everything we learned from Kelly Rowland’s “Dirty Laundry.”

Kelly revealed that she was somewhat lost after departing from Destiny’s Child and witnessing her “sister” Beyonce’s colossal fame, while she struggled with the music industry:

“When my sister was on stage killing it like a motherfucker, I was enraged, feeling it like a motherfucker. Bird in a cage you would never know what I was dealing with. Went our separate ways but I was happy that she was killing it. Bitter Sweet she was up and I was down. No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now?”

Following Beyonce’s rise to fame from the group’s single “Survivor,” Kelly entered an abusive relationship that was overshadowed by other happenings:

“Post Survivor she’s on fire, but who wants to hear my bull shit? Meanwhile this nigga is putting his hands on me…I swear y’all don’t know the half of this industry.”

Kelly also revealed that she hid the abuse of her relationship from everyone for nearly a decade:

“It’s almost been a decade I’m behind those black shades, roll up like its all good riding around in that Escalade. Fix my makeup. Kelly get it together, Kelly get it together. Then we make up. Nigga get it together.”

Kelly then decided to leave following what seemed to be a domestic dispute that promoted her to call Beyonce, who told her to leave him. Kelly also expresses her gratitude for Beyonce’s fame keeping her dysfunction in the shadows:

“Kind of lucky I was in her shadow. Phones call from my sister “what’s the matter” she said “oh no baby you gotta leave.” I’m on the kitchen floor, he took the keys…”

But later she returned to the abusive cycle and kept the happenings under wraps, lying to everyone about what was going on within the confines of their shared home:

“So here I am in this spin cycle we are coming and we are going and nobody can notice and I was trapped in this house lying to my momma, thought it could get no worse as we maximized the drama. Started to call them people on him. I was battered. He’s hitting the window like it was me, until it shattered.”

And to close off the emotional track, Kelly reveals she was secluded from Beyonce during the abuse because the aggressor manipulated her and turned her against her family. She sings:

“He pulled me out and said don’t nobody love you but me, not your momma not your daddy and especially not Bey. He turned me against my sister, I missed Ya.”

While this track may sound on first listen like it is Kelly talking about her standing in Beyonce’s shadow, it’s deeper than that. “Dirty Laundry” is the tale of the abuse that Kelly endured while in the shadows of the music industry, and now that she has put her demons on wax, we hope this means Kelly is back, stronger than ever and ready for domination.
