It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since the nation rallied together to call for the arrest of George Zimmerman.
But today, Zimmerman’s mother Gladys reminded us by releasing a letter to the public, criticizing the justice system and the media for perpetuating a false narrative.
Zimmerman’s family, aside from Robert Zimmerman Jr. who has been extremely vocal in defending his brother, has remained largely silent. Robert released the letter through his Twitter account:
When Zimmerman was taken into custody on April 11 for fatally shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, his family went into hiding. But now, Gladys speaks.
