Shortly after his “Most Wanted” portrait that featured young celebrities like Dakota FanningTaylor Swift, and Justin Timberlake just to name a few, artist Richard Phillips brought his love for Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan to life through his artwork.

However, what Phillips didn’t know was that his love for Lohan would soon lead to a collaboration between the two.

This past August, the two creative minds reunited for the second time in Phillips art film First Point, which will premiere June 11 at Art Unlimited at Art Basel. For this film, Phillips recruited pro-surfer Kassia Meador to act as a stunt body for different surfing scenes that will be interspersed with scenes of Lohan.

In an interview with New York magazine, Phillips dished about his experience with Lohan, revealing that in the film he tried to show the “unpossessable qualities” in Lindsay that make people so fascinated by her.

Phillips also talks about the inspiration behind the film, revealing to the magazine that they were inspired by the late 1967 surf film, Free and Easy, and also by nineties L.A. noir, David Lynch’s Lost Highway. Unlike most films, Phillips says First Point exerts a certain level of uneasiness and intensity “as a result of there not being words.”
