Yo Gotti made million dollar moves on a major level in 2013, with his CMG imprint aligning with Epic Records. What came next was the Top 20 selling debut album I AM. After that came the intro of his artist Snootie Wilds and the song “YaYo.” Now it’s time for the sophomore effort, The Art of Hustle. The first single “Errbody” is already in rotation with DJ Drama and it’s one of the hottest new records this week!

In preparation for her debut release Souled OutJhene Aiko releases her newest track “The Pressure”‘. The slightly trippy mood of the song goes extra nice over Aiko’s silky smooth vocals. If you can picture a ball of cotton landing softly on freshly fallen snow on a cold January night, you can sense the vibe in “The Pressure.”

If you’re a Casey Veggies fan, then conventional wisdom would have you figuring his debut album would have dropped already. Not sure what’s the hold up. Maybe Young Veggies is “tryna” get the streets hot with dope records like his latest song “Back Flip.” With a million dollar hook from the Bay Area’s IAMSU this has a chance to make some noise beyond the west.

You have to give Gucci Mane his just due. He’s been locked down for a minute now with his Trap House mixtape series already 4 chapters deep. And Gucci still has unreleased gems. This time he does it with his new clique The Felix Brothers (Young Dolph and PeeWee LongWay) and their self-titled new banger “Felix Brothers.” Gucci should be home sometime late next year.

Chicago – the city of wind, guns, and hungry hip-hop artist trying to eat. The next soldier out the foxhole has to be the kid Lil Bibby. His new “We Are Strong” track is like a call of the wild if you will. Musically, it’s turnt up meets the street hop. A few summers back, Chi-Town was set to be the epicenter of rap before hotter than wild ‘fiyah’ west coast rappers like YG and Problem made it hard. Can Lil Bibby’s “We Are Strong” get him on hip-hop’s vast playing field?
