Love is probably the most complicated concept on Earth.
It’s something that can't be created by human hands, and it isn’t something that can be taught in a textbook in school.
It just happens and comes to us naturally, and when it does, it kicks all of our asses.
While some Chrianna fans across the country are probably going insane, a ton of us are extremely skeptical as to what it means for their future, as well as why they even did it in public.
The kiss has already sparked up another round of scrutiny from those who go hard against domestic violence. They’ve already criticized Rihanna and Chris with nearly every name under the sun, and this hasn’t calmed that down.
Honestly, the hug that they shared really doesn’t seem like a big deal to me at all!
I see Rihanna as one of the most perfect examples of the theory “we can’t help who we love.”
We all know that Rihanna thought Breezy was the love of her life, and that he has a place for her in his heart, so it should be no surprise that these two have some love left to show towards each other.
Yes, the end of their relationship caused one of the most traumatizing events that a woman can go through with the one she loves, but that doesn’t mean she should be forced into isolation from her feelings.
Should Rihanna really be living in fear the rest of her life? After what she’s been through, does she really deserve to have to step into the same room as her ex-lover and feel scared? Rihanna has always said how she never wants to be a victim, nor look like one. Although she experienced abuse from one man, she should be able to look Chris in the eye and show him the forgiveness that she feels towards him.
As someone who has dealt with different kinds of relationships, with some ending worse than others, I would want to take advantage of the opportunity to face those exes with whom it didn’t end so smoothly and finally be able to smooth them out.
It’s a bold move for Chris and Rihanna to hug it out the way they did in front of everyone at the show and on TV, but, honestly, why hide it?
These two had a very public relationship, with an even more public breakup. They should be able to show their reconciliation to the world as well.
It might be the best way to find closure for Rihanna to go right up to Chris, give him a casual kiss or hug, and keep it moving like the busy chick she is.
If Rihanna wants to show him some friendly love, that doesn’t mean she’s “dumb” or “naïve:” it’s because she’s strong enough to look fear straight in the eye and forgive. It takes a big person to do that, and it’s a trait that many weaker people wouldn’t have the courage to do.
Chris may have done some messed up things in his life, which I do not condone, but I don’t believe he’s a true monster. Yes, he might have a bad side to him and need guidance, but I don’t believe he’s stupid enough to bring it out and attack Rihanna at the VMAs in front of everyone.
I think it’s time that we all do what Nicki Minaj would do and simmer.
Let these two live and love! Everything happens for a reason.
