New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is no stranger to receiving criticism about his weight. However, he is well-known for laughing these remarks off.

After former White House doctor Connie Mariano told CNN on Wednesday that Christie’s big figure may become a big problem for him if he decides to run for the 2016 election, he could not laugh anymore.

Christie was outraged by the doctor’s remarks, since she does not know his family history and has never given him a physical examination. He is reported saying that “she should shut up!”

“I find it fascinating that a doctor in Arizona who has never met me, never examined me, never reviewed my medical history or records, knows nothing about my family history, could make a diagnosis from 2,400 miles away,” he told reporters.

He also described Mariano as “another hack that just wants five minutes on TV.”

Mariano has since reported that the two have recently spoken on the phone and that Christie continued to express his dissatisfaction with her.

Earlier this week, Christie told David Letterman that he was the “healthiest fat guy you’ve ever seen in your life.” In December, he also told Barbara Walters that it is “ridiculous” to believe that his weight will negatively impact his political performance.

“I think people have watched me for a number of weeks during Hurricane Sandy doing 18-hour days, and getting right back up the next day and still being just as effective in the job, so I don’t really think that would be a problem,” said the governor.
