Muppets Fight Back! Sesame Street Strikes Back At Mitt Romney (PHOTOS)

During Wednesday's presidential debate, Gov. Mitt Romney struck a cord when he threatened to fire Sesame Street's most lovable oversized bird, Big Bird, in order to reduce federal spending.

Word To Big Bird! PBS CEO Strikes Back At Mitt's Threat On Big Bird

Romney told PBS News Hour Host Jim Lehrer that though he likes PBS, he would fry Big Bird and the other muppetiers to save money.

"I'm sorry Jim, I'm gonna stop the subsidy to PBS. I like PBS, I love Big Bird, I actually like you too, but I'm going to stop borrowing money from China to pay for things we don't need."

That didn't sit too well with the social media world, which created the "@FiredBigBird" Twitter account to give our feathered friend a voice to speak out against Mitt's attack.

Now, the pro-Obama SuperPac American Bridge 21st Century are voicing the concerns of all the Sesame Street stars who aren't happy with Mitt and his policy proposals either.

For instance, Bert and Ernie are upset that they would never be able to legitimize their love under a Romney administration. Take a look at the other disgruntled muppets in the photo gallery above!
