Fresh off of the announcement of his Passion, Pain & Pleasure Tour with Monica, a new Trey Songz track entitled ‘Take You Home’ has leaked. The song, produced by the legendary Timbaland, is a typical Songz club-banger. Over a futuristic Timbo beat, Songz spits game to a girl he met in the club. While his subject matter has pretty much remained the same, Trey’s songcraft has improved drastically since he first hit the scene with ‘Gotta Make It’. ‘Take You Home’ is an expertly written modern R&B banger. There’s no word on whether this track will appear on Songz’s new album, but if it is representative of what Songz has in store for Passion, Pain & Pleasure, due in September, then we’re in for another classic. It looks like Ready was just the start of Trey’s R&B domination.
