New York based designer KAWS is finally releasing a book of illustrations in conjunction with Rizzoli. This 256 page book explores the career of KAWS from his humble beginnings in street art to his successes as a pop icon today. KAWS success has expanded well beyond sektchbook pages, walls and buses as he now makes large scale canvas works, toys and even fashion. This is the first comprehensive survey of the artist’s body of work. The books author, Mónica Ramírez-Montagut, is a curator at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. Contributor, Germano Celant, is an art historian and director of Fondazione Prada in Milan. This book will be available nationwide on September 21, 2010.
