English art poppers Florence + The Machine will be opening up for U2 on their rescheduled North American stadium tour kicking off in May. U2 had to reschedule the entire tour after Bono suffered a serious back injury.

Florence + The Machine have gained some notoriety when they performed on the 2010 MTV VMAs, but they have been established artists in the UK for quite some time.

The bands debut album, Lungs, was released in 2009 and held the No. 2 position for the first five weeks in the UK album chart. The album has been one of the best selling albums in 2009 and 2010 and they won ‘Mastercard British Album’ award at the 2010 BRIT Awards.
