I remember being on the road with Rev Run and Kid Rock and Rev and I had an interesting conversation.

We were talking about being humbled enough to play your position, with no ulterior motives and enjoy the ride. For some reason at that specific moment I realized that if I were to be any rapper in world I’d want to be Memphis Bleek. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t know the brother personally so I can’t attest to anything I don’t know but I’m basing my thoughts on what I’ve seen.

First, he’s showing a very strong sense of loyalty. From the beginning of a dynasty to the death of it, Bleek seems to be the last standing member next to Hov. That’s an achievement in itself. Imagine going on a roller coaster ride that had its ups and downs, changes passengers, breaks down sometimes and yet it still remains your favorite ride.

Secondly, I’ve never heard him discredit anyone (unless necessary). I admire someone who knows when you diss others you’re really dissing your self. I was taught if you don’t have anything positive to say, don’t say it all. I’ve seen Bleek take that stand a few times while avoiding questions that didn’t pertain to himself.

Lastly, he shows up and gets the job when its required. Now while he’s not my favorite lyricist, he seems to get the job done when it comes to putting out albums, making guest appearances and performing at shows. And I really think he enjoys it as well. If thats all he has to do to be happy, why not do your best?

Listen, everyone going to have there opinion on this blog but its your opinion, not law. Bleek has qualities of a rapper and a person that I think should inspire others. So if you’re reading this Bleek, I suggest you write a book or a blog and teach others your method. Till then I leave you with this…

Bleek could be one hit away his whole career
As long as I’m alive, he’s a millionaire
And even if I die, he’s in my will somewhere
So he can just kick back and chill somewhere, oh yeah
He don’t even have to write rhymes
The Dynasty like my money last three lifetimes”
