Twelve-year-old actor Jaden Smith is following in the footsteps of his father Will Smith, who is the king of summer blockbuster movies. With his hit movie “Karate Kid,” Jaden Smith is now the highest paid child star in Hollywood.

Jaden reportedly earned $1 million when he was 10-years-old for filming “Karate Kid.” Since then, the film has made $150 million in gross sales and now Jaden is up for $2 million bonus.

The Smith family has figured out the formula to Hollywood success. Will Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment estimated worth is $400 million. Will has had an immense amount of success with Hollywood movies. The movie “Independence Day” alone raked in $300 million, which doesn’t even include his other blockbuster hits.

The youngest member of the Smith family, Willow Smith, is also well on her way to child star riches with her budding singing career.

Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter is reportedly raking in $22,000 for appearing in her mother’s reality show on BET. Her money is pretty low compared to other child stars, but she makes more than some low income Americans in only 10 reality show episodes.

“iCarly” starlet Miranda Cosgrove is currently the highest paid TV actress. She earns $180,000 per episode of “iCarly.”

Compared to when Dakota Fanning first hit the big screen, she’s all grown up now, but not really. Dakota is only 15-years-old and reportedly makes $4 million a movie. Dakota was also on Forbes’ “Richest Young Stars” list in 2009.

Daniel Radcliffe is Harry from the movie series “Harry Potter.” He’s currently 21-years-old, but when he started filming “Harry Potter” at 11-years-old, his inital salary was $250,000 for the film. Now, he gets a whopping $25 million per “Harry Potter” movie.

Actress Selena Gomez is 18-years-old and starred in Disney’s hit show “Hannah Montana” where she pulled in $25,000.

Miley Cyrus turned 18 a few months ago and while she wasn’t the highest paid child star on TV for her hit show “Hannah Montana,” her “Hannah Montana” concert tours made her millions. Now she’s on her grown up kick and is still raking in the dough with her tour dates.
