The Red Bull Rope Masters is a national series that features the top Double Dutch teams in the United States. The series draws competitors where daring moves, glitzy outfits, fast feet and agile jumpers go head-to-head in a freestyle battle of skill and coordination.

That said, it’s no wonder why members of the National Double Dutch teamed joined forces with the popular energy drink.

Rapper Cory Gunz, who performed during the event this past Saturday in NYC, said that he is more a spectator of the sport and has fond memories of girls jumping rope across his street.

[I used to watch them] “pop their gum and do their little double dutch,” the rapper said.

“Red Bull gives you wings and [it’s exciting to] see these athletes jumping and doing back flips five feet in the air while dutching,” enthused Red Bull USA Marketing Exec Damon Johnson soon after Buckle Up, this year’s winners, took the crown.

Buckle Up said they can’t wait for the next competition where they will, hopefully, dominate next year.

We can’t wait either!
