One of Toronto’s most talented, The Weeknd shared a new track called “The Birds (Part 1),” with his fans last night.
Figuring that his upcoming project is entitled “Thursday,” it’s no surprise that we’re covering this today. It’s safe to say that The Weeknd will probably be sharing his music on Thursdays or at least Thursday eve, from now until when he drops the album.

Marked by drum cadences and falsetto runs, “The Birds (Part 1)” captures listeners in the first two seconds, literally. As The Weeknd makes his plea to a lovely lady, he sings, “Don’t make me make you fall in love with a n*gga like me.”
There has to be something in the water in Toronto, because the musical talent hailing from the Canadian city is absolutely amazing. The Weeknd is definitely an artist that everyone will need to watch, because in due time, he will be huge.
The Weeknd will be joining his fellow Canadian Drake at the OVO Festival in Toronto next month.
