Tennis champion Serena Williams is back!
After what seemed like an eternal absence from the tennis courts of the world, the Compton, California lobber was photographed last night off the court of England’s famed arena and was macking on the red carpet of the WTA Tour Pre-Wimbledon party in a very flattering green dressed designed by Burberry.
Serena looked gorgeous in the satin halter dress which she paired with Nicholas Kirkwood heels and voluminous curls.
Also at the party were actress Noemie Harris who wore a gold dress by Mulberry and Maria Sharapova, also injured last year, in Alexander McQueen.
The last time Serena stepped on a Wimbeldon tennis court was in 2010 when she won the finals. Soon after, she injured both feet after stepping on glass in a restaurant.
After two surgeries and a scare, the champion returned to competition after only one month of practice, defeating Tsvetana Pironkova and a three set marathon against World Number 3 Vera Zvonareva, the same player she met a year ago in the Wimbledon final.
