Ageless rapper, producer and actor Ice Cube is lending his name to charity! The “Are We There Yet” producer has linked up with Rare Ink, a charity who raises money through art and autographs, to raise funds for Cube’s favorite AIDS charity, The Minority AIDS Project.
In the video below, Missinfo.tv reports that the rapper “personally autograph a piece at the 0:49 mark … he does that for all these limited edition pieces! Artist Mark Sgarbossa also discusses the process behind the work.”
In a statement made during the unveiling of the artworks yesterday, Cube said, “Expanding the interaction with fans of my music by offering limited edition, signed artwork that they are able to share and enjoy with their friends and family is something I feel my fans deserve. Not only does RareInk create amazing pieces of art that bring my albums and songs to life but a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Minority AIDS Project, an organization I have worked with over the past two decades.”
Pieces in the collection will include a work based on Cube’s “Today Was A Good Day” video and two album covers “AmeriKKKas Most Wanted” and “The Predator.”
