Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, of “Transformers” and “G. I. Joe,” is now attempting to realize “Space Invaders,” the 1978 classic arcade video game into a full length action production.

Recently partnered with Odd Lot Entertainment Gigi Pritzker, the pair have already optioned the rights to the “Space Invaders” name after it was dropped by Warner Bros and are picking up exactly where WB left off.
They are now searching for screenwriters to expand the narrative and a creative team to jump start pre-production.
With heavy work cut out for the the duo, there is still high expectations for the film due to Bonaventura’s work on “G.I. Joe” and “Transformers.”
