Now, the dynamic duo have thrown their support behind Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation co-founder Russell Simmons to help the hip-hop mogul raise funds for the Foundation’s 12th Annual Art For Life Fundraiser in the Hamptons on July 30th.

The annual fundraiser has raised an average of over $1 million dollars each year, funding art programs for kids in New York and beyond. This year, organizers hope to double that figure.

The Foundation’s goal of $2 million and more is possible due to the caliber of the art presented for auction, as well as the celebrities joining Simmons’ art education agenda. Artists who have donated work to this year’s fundraiser include featured artist Kara Walker, Yoko Ono, Brice Marden and Chuck Close.
Gwyneth Paltrow is the Honorary Chair and Academy and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will perform. Mary J. Blige, Edward Norton and Chase Bank’s Kimberly B. Davis will be recognized for their contributions and work to better their communities.
