Several artists have caught heat for being too sexually explicit and indulging in disorderly conduct during shows, everyday life and in their videos.

Most recently, Nicki Minaj was served a summons in the amount of $1,000 for cursing and dancing too sexually while performing in Jamaica.

She isn’t alone though, plenty of other singers and rappers alike have been censored, taken off the air, threatened by law enforcement and banned from countries because of their rated R, nonconformist ways. 

We take a look at Drake, Bob Dylan, Snoop Dogg, Miley Cyrus and more!

Drake had to flee his performance in Jamaica when he almost got arrested for saying “blood clot,” which is considered a curse in the country.

Rihanna’s “S&M” Video was stripped from the air after networks felt it was too sexual for television. Her recent single “Man Down” faced controversy as well, but after much debate, was still allowed to be aired.

After being found guilty of criminal charges, the UK denied Chris Brown entry. Chris Brown was also unofficially shunned from performing at a lot of venues in America and on most networks as well.

After having assault charges brought against her, Amy Winehouse was denied a visa and could not enter America to perform at the Coachella Festival.

Bob Dylan was banned from China and could not finish the East Asian leg of his tour last year because they viewed the legendary singer as a radical.

The Beatles were once kicked out of the Phillippines because they did not show Imelda Marcos the respect that she believed she deserved.

Bjork was banned from China after a controversial performance she put on in Shanghai. The singer sung her song “Declare Independence,” while nudging Tibet to do so.

Miley Cyrus was banned from China after her “slanted eye” video, which was deemed as a racist jab toward Asians.

In 2006, Jay-Z was banned from China due to his vulgar lyrics. That year, the world was bumping to his album Kingdom Come which wasn’t half as vulgar as the rest.

Everybody, except for the UK and Australia, seems to love the gentle D-O-Double-G. He was banned from those countries because of his extensive criminal record.
