Last night Trey Songz held a concert with Myspace Music ‘The Release’ at Canal Room in NYC and everyone who was there got to witness the crowning of a new king of R&B. The venue was packed with women and men who all came out to see Trey get ‘Ready’.

Songz was introduced by raps latest phenom Drake, who introduced Trey Songz as ‘The Greatest R & B singer of our generation’ Trey took the stage to screams and cheer by the ladies and probably some dudes. He opened w/ Successful and then went in to songs of his new album. One of the highlights of his set was when he performed ‘Black Roses’ which seems like it can be an ode to his ex boo Helen.

Speaking of Helen, Trey also stopped by Charlemagne the God’s radio show in Philly earlier that day and spoke about his past love

‘I would love a woman to kick it with, I actually had a woman that was there for me and it didn’t work out because my life is so crazy and fast paced, that when you’re trying to do what I’m trying to do you have to be focused on what you’re trying to do. And, if its somebody in your world that you can’t give all they deserve it makes no sense to try to make it happen.’

Later on in the interview C The God asked him if he was banging Adrienne & Necole Bitchie

Trey: ‘I ain’t touch her’

C The God: ‘You touched her they got pictures of y’all kissing’ (Talking about Necole)

Trey: ‘But, I ain’t bang her out, you said was I banging her, I didn’t touch her’

Hopefully this would be the rumors to rest, while back at the concert, one women tried to grab Trey’s Manhood and he totally blacked out on her, and told her don’t do it again. That’s when the body guard walked up to her and told her, ‘If you even put your hand up again I’m going to kick you out.’ The concert went on without another hitch.

After listening to the album I think we are in witnessing a changing of the guard and the crowning of a new king of R & B. R. Kelly is done, Usher needs to reclaim his spot, maybe he can do that, only time will tell, but as of now, the spot is Trey’s to take and after making an instant classic with ‘Ready’ Trey Songz is ready to be crowned the King Of R&B
