GlobalGrind: Hey Tereza, where are you right now?
Tereza Kacerova: I’m in Philly. I didn’t have anything to do today so I came here for the weekend.
We read you are either dating Bradley Cooper or his manager, is that true?
Neither one of them.
Do you have a boyfriend now?
No, no boyfriend!
Can you tell us exactly how were you discovered? Were you in NYC or were you scouted in high school in Vermont?
I was living in Czech Republic back then. I was 15 and there was this contest I entered. I got second place, that’s how I got agencies.
Were you born in the Czech Republic?
I was born there. I was there until I was 5, then I came to America, then I went back and three years ago, I came back again. I visit in the summer.
What do you do there in the summertime?
I just hang out with my friends! All my family is there except for my mom. She’s the only one in Vermont. My sister and my dad are there and we have a nice little house in the woods there. It’s so great, just to relax by the lake.
When you were in school you were into running.
Wow, you really Googled me thoroughly! I did track and cross country. In America I was doing cross country and track.
What was your best time in cross country?
Cross country’s always big, I run miles. In Vermont there are always hills, but there was one flat one. I won that one; it was a hot race. I don’t even remember the time, around 20 minutes I think.
Do you have time to exercise now that you have a full time modeling career?
Sometimes I’m lazy [Laughs]. But I go to the gym, I run and try to grow my abs.
Do you see yourself going to college?
Yes, maybe in a while though. I want to give this a shot and it’s going well for me so I might as well use that right now. Then I’ll go to college if I need to. I would go to college but this is how I support myself.
What do you think you would study?
I want to be a writer. I was reading last The Hunger Games series. I’m obsessed with them! I was just reading Ellen DeGeneres’ book, it’s funny! When I write, I like to write science fiction.
Do you have any hope of getting into movies?
No, I don’t really. I’m taking acting classes now but I don’t want to be an actress, I want to be a writer.
Besides traveling back and forth between America and Czech Republic, where else have you traveled to?
I was working in London this summer and I use to work in Japan a lot. I was go going to go back there but then the earthquake happened. I’ve been here for awhile, but I think I’m going to go back soon.
What were your impressions of London and Tokyo?
Tokyo is my favorite place in the world, ever! I love the people, the culture, the food, the streets, everything. I’m Japanese at heart. London I liked too, but I wasn’t there for very long because I fell on my face and had to go home. My face got destroyed.
How did you do that?
My phone fell down. It was on the railing and then I knocked it over accidentally. I had to climb down to get it. There was a rail thing. I had to hold onto that and then I had to crawl. It was a process but I survived miraculously!
