President Barack Obama even paid his respects.
Legendary rapper Heavy D died earlier this month at the age of 44 in Los Angeles. His autopsy report released last week proved inconclusive.

President Barack Obama sent his condolences to Heavy D via a letter to Heavy’s 11-year-old daughter.
Rev. Al Sharpton briefly read the letter saying:
“Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.”
