Hollywood legend Liz Taylor‘s jewels shattered expectations yesterday when all her famed pieces sold for a combined $115 million at auction at Christie’s.
Come to find out, reality TV starlet and Liz Taylor admirer Miss Kim Kardashian herself snapped up some of those diamonds!

According to TMZ, Kim paid $65,000 to outbid some serious jewelry aficionados for three jade and diamond bracelets that used to belong to the iconic actress.
Kim idolized Elizabeth, recreating her famed Cleopatra look in a Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot and even engaging in an interview with Liz shortly before she died this past March.
So of course, Kim needed to grab the 3 jade and diamond Lorraine Schwartz bangle bracelets on the auction block. She paid only a small fee of $64,900.
All in all, this auction broke world records!
According to the Telegraph, here’s how it went down:
*The La Peregrina necklace, a diamond, ruby, and pearl rope with a sixteenth-century pear-shaped pearl pendant, thought to be one of the finest pearls in the world: $11,842,500.
*The Taj Mahal ruby and gold chain by Cartier: $8,818,500 (a new world record for an Indian jewel)
*The Prince of Wales brooch, formerly owned by the Duchess of Windsor: $1,314,500
*The Elizabeth Taylor Diamond, a 33.29 carat Asscher-cut ring given to her by Richard Burton in 1968: $8,818,500
