Tonight as millions of people tune to Fox to see X-Factor USA name its first winner of the $5 million recording contract, I say I know who the winner will be.

Last night as I watched Josh Krajcik and Chris Renee belt out numerous off key notes that sounded like kittens were being chased by rabid pit bulls, I had an epiphany.

Melanie Amaro would win the top prize of X-Factor and go on to have the career that rivals the greatest divas to ever bless a mic.

That’s right, I’m team Melanie. Her road to the top is the kind of story that dreams are made of.

Originally she had her dreams crushed when Simon voted her off from the judges home. As she cried like Santa Clause punched her in the stomach, Simon realized he made a mistake and flew down to Florida and invited her back to the live shows where she did her thing.

Melanie came in holding onto a fake persona. She flashed a fake American accent that was as authentic as anything the daughter of a good ol’ boy could enunciate.

It wasn’t until a stellar performance and rave reviews from all the judges that her island accent charged out. She shouted “This is the real Melanie!”

Last night as she held her own with the vocal talent of R. Kelly alongside her, it became clear.

She is a king among men! The only girl left vying for $5 million and a Pepsi commercial and when it’s all said and done. My prediction for the X-Factor winner will be Melanie Amaro.

She will be the first X-Factor winner!
