We’re suckers for great packaging and design here so when we first heard about Earth, Wind & Fire designing some headphones in conjunction with Monster, we were psyched.
STORY: Monster’s Noel Lee See’s Fashionable Headphones In Your Future
We’ve been waiting on these joints since the beginning of Fashion Week when Monster Chairman Noel Lee announced them at a presentation on a rooftop in Lower Manhattan.
Rather than photograph them conventionally we decided to use a several hundred pound Xerox machine to capture some details of the packaging and the headphones which are wrapped in chocolate and rose gold, signifying the seminal and legendary music group’s soul, perhaps.
The Gratitude in-ear headphones include a new Monster design that allows the earpiece to rest more comfortably and deeper within the wearer’s ear canal, enabling a perfect fit, superior isolation and ultimate performance. Users have several choices for ear buds of various sizes, and specially created carrying case is included with each pair of Gratitude headphones.
The same detail in sound and tech can be found in these headphones which retail for about $300, and which were specifically tuned and designed by Earth, Wind & Fire.
Monster Gratitude headphones are being made available with the Monster ControlTalk™ headphone cable, which can be used with iPhone® and iPod® for music playback control as well as to take hands-free calls with iPhone and many smartphones.The integrated high-grade microphone and answer button allows users to access their music and answer phone calls without having to reach into their pocketbook, backpack or pocket.
