LG Electronics released new images of the 55-inch OLED TV that weighs in at 16.5 pounds. The television is 4mm thin and makes your iPhone 4 (that is double the size) look obese, thanks to LG’s Slim and Narrow Bezel Design.

LG’s TV incorporates 4-Color Pixels and Color Refiner features with LG Display’s advanced OLED (organic light-emitting diode) panels to generate the most natural colors ever seen on any TV set.

The TV also includes “1,000 times faster than LED/LCD displays” and “infinite contrast ratio” making it a likely contender for one of the best displays of 2012.

The Apple comparisons aren’t arbitrary, LG makes iPod Touch and iPhone Retina Displays, some iPad displays, so you ca only imagine the level of greatness anticipated.

LG will unveil the 55-inch OLED TV for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas next week; we will be there to see in person!
