Jersey Shore is a show many of us look forward to tuning into every Thursday and the season five premiere last night was no exception.

Even though we truly could be watching something a lot more intellectually stimulating, it’s just one of those shows that becomes addicting if you’re a reality TV fan.

You either love it or you can’t stand it, but either way, you’ll hear about it. For myself, it’s definitely one of my guilty pleasures, but I’m running low on enthusiasm for it.

Five seasons of any reality show holding the same cast throughout seems like a lot to me in itself. When the trailer for this fifth season came out last month, I thought to myself, are these going to be the last episodes of the Seaside crew wilding out all together? I don’t think people would be too mad if they are.

There have been a lot of reports that certain cast members are getting their own spin-off shows. Apparently, Pauly D has already filmed his, and Snooki and JWOWW have filmed a pilot.

Personally, I won’t be someone watching any spin-offs of Jersey Shore. Now I just roll my eyes when Ronnie and Sammi fight, Snooki curses someone out, or when Pauly yells out his ridiculous catch phrases.

I definitely can’t stand Mike and his whole Situation act for too much longer either. I think they should just keep the crew together, or leave it all alone.

If this is the end of the crew being together in that Shore house on camera, then I think America will easily get over it. It’s already pissed off enough people.

As hilarious as it might be to follow Pauly D around in his outside-of-the-Shore life, it wouldn’t be the same. The Pauly D that people love is the one that’s yelling, “Cabs are heeere!” and “oh yeah, wake up yeah!” I can’t see it getting too much more exciting once he stops having his Jersey crew stirring up the drama.

Let’s be honest, how many spin-off shows have really been much more interesting than the show it spinned off from?

Eventually the Jersey Shore era is going to come to an end, whether it’s the end of this season, or five more seasons from now. Squeezing out what’s left of it isn’t a smart move.

Just let it end with a bang, and go down in the American TV history books!
