We’ve known for awhile that Danish design rocks, but it just so happens we can’t really afford what the Danes are selling, be it modern furniture or electronics!

STORY: Motorola Shuts Huawei Down At CES 2012

Take the above, 65 inch ultra flat David Lewis designed TV for instance, Danish electronics wiz Bang & Olufsen wants you shell out at least $20,000 for their new flat, ultra thin TV.

Sure you can buy it without the BeoSound 3 system, that will only run you $11K, but you might as well say WTF and spend the extra $9K to get the total B&O experience!

Called the BeoVision 12, the TV is everything you would want for viewing your favorite films: perfect pictures, light weight, beautifully designed, amazing sound!

We had an opportunity to test out this wallet busting TV after a presentation of it at the Venetian Hotel, Ground Zero for most things CES, at the annual trade show in Vegas this morning.

The 3D glasses we were handed felt rubbery and clumsy, but once we synched it with the TV, we were taken to new 3D heights!

Rather than images popping out at you from the screen, B&O’s TV offered you depth, as well as wonderful color.

The only thing we didn’t love was the price.

We also got our grubby mitts on B&O’s new PLAY device, a picnic basket shaped sound system called the Beolit, which lets you wirelessly stream music from your iPhone or any other compatible audio device.

Retail price for that wonder is $799. The sound streaming from the Beolit was wonderful and at less than 3 pounds, it’s totally portable and cute. Thing is, battery life is short, averaging about four hours. Plugged in you can get about eight.
