Canadian pop-tart Avril Lavigne has been in the studio recording new material for her fourth studio album for close to two years and recently posed for some photos for the cover of new Disney magazine ‘D-You.’
Avril explained the reason for her album delay to fans on her fan forum: “[I’m] trying some new stuff. Exploring. The thing with me is that I write my own music and therefore, it takes me longer to put out records cause I have to live my life to get inspiration. I have so much material at this point, for 2 records. I’m getting close.”
Reportedly, a collaboration with rapper Asher Roth is in the works and will be featured on the new record. Avril is also working with hip hop producer Alex Da Kid, who has worked with Eminem, Nicki Minaj and B.o.B.
