Republican Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich chance of getting a nomination looks far out of sight considering he is third in the latest polls, falling behind his adversaries Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney.

But those polls mean nothing for Gingrich’s most wealthy supporter, Vegas casino owner Sheldon Adelson, who is worth an estimated 21.5 billion. CBS reports that Sheldon is expected to donate an astonishing 10 million dollars to Gingrich super PAC ‘Winning Our Future.’

Sheldon and Gingrich have a good relationship that stems all the way from the 1990s, when the two fought for policies in Washington that were pro-Israel and for taking a tough stance against neighboring Arab countries.
With this donation, Sheldon is to have donated a total of 21 million dollars to Gingrich. This makes his donations the second largest in modern American politics, coming behind billionaire liberal George Soros who donated 23.7 million in 2004 towards John Kerry’s presidential campaign.
Sheldon’s strong support for Gingrich comes from their shared commitment to Israel.
With the nomination for Presidency day-by-day moving away from his reach, there are no doubts Gingrich needs this donation.
