Every time a white man gets in trouble saying some stupid sh*t he shouldn’t have said, they always fall back on the same excuse: “well, rappers say it all the time.”

STORY: WTF! Rush Limbaugh Blaming Rappers For His Comments

Well, that’s bullsh*t, because rappers don’t say it all the time – at least not in today’s rap world.

STORY: To The Curb! Rush Limbaugh’s Show Gets Dumped On Three Radio Stations

Rush Limbaugh, the Big Poppa of conservative talk show hosts, spewed off from his gullet last week and personally attacked Georgetown University Law student Sandra Fluke when she testified before Congress to advocate that insurance companies cover birth control.

On his radio show Rush said:

“You talk about a double standard. One of the greatest illustrations of it is that rappers can practically say anything they want about women, and it’s called art.”

It’s the same excuse radio jock Don Imus tried to use when he referred to the Rutgers women’s basketball team as a bunch of “nappy headed hoes.” When the pressure came down on him Rush said:

“That phrase originated in the black community, and I — I’m not stupid. I may be a white man, but I know that these young women and young black women all through that society are demeaned and disparaged and disrespected by the — by their own black men and that they are called that name.”

The language used by Limbaugh and Imus is unacceptable and hip-hop shouldn’t be blamed for their idiotic comments.

When we polled our GlobalGrind audience, over 65 percent believed that rappers and hip-hop music shouldn’t be blamed for offensive comments towards women.

Limbaugh personally attacked Fluke by calling her a “slut” and “prostitute” and his rationale is just because rappers used those same words, it’s the same thing.

Wrong! Limbaugh’s intent was to hurt, degrade and embarrass Flute, when a rapper or any musician steps into that recording booth they want to make music. Rush just creates hate and adds nothing to the conversation.

Rush has a hip-hop problem; doesn’t he know that today’s rappers are much more than what they are perceived to be? Kanye West does fashion shows in Paris, Diddy is winning Oscars for documentaries and Jay-Z has transformed himself into a businessman!

The fact of the matter is, rappers and hip-hop get blamed for many things, but my culture can’t take a bullet for this one. Especially not for a man like Rush Limbaugh, who wouldn’t recognize hip-hop if DJ Kool Herc was standing in front of him.
