Outspoken journalist Toure has been receiving a lot of attention recently due to his outrage regarding the tragic murder of Trayvon Martin.
STORY: Toure On Trayvon: “We Are Creeping Towards A Boiling Point”
Just yesterday Toure went on a rant on MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan show saying:
“We are creeping, people, toward a boiling point. This is the most hotly divided, radicalized moment in America since the O.J. trial.”
Thursday night, Toure got into a heated debated with CNN’s Piers Morgan saying that Piers did not “understand the depth of the pain in the American soul that is at play in this situation” and “what’s at stake in America.”
Piers, who is from Britain, was extremely offended, calling Toure’s assertions “rubbish” and “absolute nonsense.” Piers then went on to express how he has supported the Trayvon Martin movement saying:
“Had you been listening to my show all week you’d know I’ve been saying we should have justice for Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman should be arrested.”
Was Toure right in saying that Piers wasn’t able to understand because he’s British?
