Michele Bachmann is back after her failed bid to become the Republican nominee for President. The Tea Party queen is once again throwing darts at President Obama.

STORY: Switch Sides Homie! Michele Bachmann’s Iowa Chairman Jumps Ship For Ron Paul

Bachmann told the Florida-based conservative news organization Shark Tank on Wednesday that President Obama is “waving a tar baby in the air” following his proposals that would give government regulators more authority to limit price manipulation in the oil market.

Bachmann told Shark Tank:

“This is just about waving a tar baby in the air and saying that something else is a problem. I have never seen a more irresponsible president who is infantile in the way that he continually blames everyone else for his failure to first diagnose the problem and second to address the problem. It’s always everyone else’s fault.”

When will Republicans learn that criticizing the President is OK, but when you use terms like “tar baby” it sends the wrong message which can been looked upon as racist!

The term “tar baby” originated from the “Uncle Remus” stories, in which a doll made of tar and turpentine is used to snare Br’er Rabbit. It also is a derogatory term for African Americans.

Bachmann’s press secretary Becky Rogness responded quickly telling Politico that her statement, “had nothing to do with race. If you listen to the interview, Rep. Bachmann was making a point about the president’s poor understanding of oil prices, which has nothing to do with race. The president doesn’t understand the oil market and hence, has gotten himself into a sticky situation.”

In 2011 Rep. Doug Lamborn got into trouble for the very same term, telling a radio station that dealing with Obama was “like touching a tar baby.” The Republican from Colorado later apologized.

This is yet another chapter in the ongoing story of Bachmann, who has made headlines in the past for her incredible gaffes and missteps.
