Think Like A Man has been ripping the box office up here in America, but it’s been banned from theaters in France – all because of the film’s mostly black cast.

EXCLUSIVE: The Think Like A Man Cast React To Being Number 1

France has a sociopolitical strategy, which favors interracial relationships rather than valuing communities, and since Think Like A Man focuses solely on black couples, it can’t be screened in the country.

STORY: Was Think Like A Man Meagan Good’s Breakout Role?

According to GlobalVoices:

“Surprising as it may be, the answer lies in the fact that the film has an all-black cast. French cinema is often pointed at for not fairly displaying all components of the country’s multiethnic population. Although the recent success of the movie Les Intouchables, which earned French African actor Omar Sy the Cesar award for Best Actor in 2012, caused great pride and hope among French nationals from Africa and the Caribbean, it was not to be the turning point for a deep and lasting change.”

The film based on Steve Harvey’s book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, is not the only one to face this fate. None of Tyler Perry’s movies have never made it to France either. What’s your take on France’s questionable policy?
